Snowdonia II, 2006
To wake to a heavy snowfall in Snowdonia is a dream. The magic of the glittering, pristine white scene was all around. I walked as far as I could along the path by the old slate mines. White hills, blue skies, fluffy clouds, contrasted with sharp jagged slate. It was a scene of existentialist poetic vision. Fran May is continually inspired by mountains, seascapes and desolate, searching for landscapes that capture the light of northern Europe fused with the forces of nature.
