Rock Formation, Plumpton Rocks, Yorkshire (I) 1976

I used to walk from the family home over miles of fields to get to Plumpton Rocks. In those days it was quiet place to explore the extensive range of weathered and contorted gritstone outcrops. I could sit and contemplate the mood of the weather and work with the light, taking my time, disturbed only by the odd squirrel, before the long walk home again.
